Northfield Historical Society
Since 1975, the Northfield Historical Society (NHS) has been dedicated to preserving, interpreting and honoring the unique history of Northfield Minnesota.
We are an independent non-profit organization governed by our membership through a Board of Directors.
Today the Northfield Historical Society actively serves the Northfield area by offering presentations of Northfield history, educational programs, special historical events, exhibits, and a library and archives.
The Northfield Historical Society online collection is comprised of objects that are associated with the 1876 attempted bank raid by the James-Younger Gang, Carleton College, St. Olaf College, the Northfield Public School District.
NHS has many more objects in its holdings and as the collaborative grows we hope our online collection will grow as well.
We are located at 408 Division Street in historic downtown Northfield.
Our phone number is 507-645-9268.
